H. Schubert Palmer, M.D.

H. Schubert Palmer is an interventional cardiologist who presently practices at the White Memorial Medical Center and several other hospitals in Los Angeles, California.

Raised in a loving home, Schubert felt the call of God on his life as a young child and was thrilled to be baptized by his father, Evangelist J.C. Palmer, at eight years of age. His interest in medicine began in kindergarten as he became fascinated by the captivating stories of medical missionaries serving in distant lands.

Being a precocious student, at the tender age of fourteen he enrolled as a freshman at Northern Caribbean University in his beautiful homeland of Jamaica. He completed his undergraduate studies at Andrews University in Michigan, and subsequently graduated from Loma Linda University Medical School in Loma Linda, California.

A highly respected physician, Dr. Palmer has served (or is serving) in many capacities at various hospitals with responsibilities including Department of Medicine Chairperson, Intensive Care Unit Medical Director, Chief of the Medical Staff, and President of the Governing Board. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is also a Diplomate in the Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease. He is also recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and Fellow of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Intervention.

In his field of cardiology Dr. Palmer sees firsthand the severe consequences of poor health habits and therefore takes an active role in the promotion of healthy lifestyle choices. In addition to being a health lecturer, Dr. Palmer serves as a local elder, Sabbath School teacher, Music Department Chairperson and Assistant Organist for the Berean Seventh Day Adventist Church in Los Angeles. He is the author of the widely acclaimed book, God Must Be Crazy, a spell-binding, provocative and insightful Biblical look into the subject of God’s sanity viewed through the prism of His amazing love.

Dr Palmer is married to Ullanda Innocent-Palmer, renowned recording artist, song writer and television personality, whose songs and testimony have inspired millions of people around the world. Together they have teamed up to form Heart and Soul Ministries, a ministry dedicated to bringing hope to families by ministering to the heart and soul with the good news of God's amazing love.
